Mrs. Carmen Phung
Mrs. Carmen Phung has been a PEL Newark Instructor since 2018. She has a bachelor’s degree in child Adolescent Development with School Age concentration and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese from San Francisco State University.
Mrs. Carmen began her education career during her high school years working with children and youth in childcare, afterschool, Sunday School, and internship. She is a leader in church Youth Ministry where she mentored middle school aged students for several years. In addition, she has experience teaching English overseas.
Mrs. Carmen is nurturing, kind, caring, giving, good-natured, attentive, open-minded, capable, dedicated and student focused. She is passionate, committed, and keen to help your child reach his or her potential. She believes that the PEL program can help all children achieve their full potential by maximizing their cognitive and psychological capabilities, thus achieving their personal best success.

Mr. Kenny Phung
Mr. Kenny Phung has been a PEL Newark instructor since 2018. He has a master’s degree in business administration. He has taught, coached, and mentored youth and school aged children for many years in basketball, snowboarding and taught them how to drive a stick-shift car. Mr. Kenny also has spent many years as a middle school youth leader, mentoring teenagers, and leading the Youth Club. He would spend time building relationships, going on outings, and supporting the youth on a weekly basis.
Mr. Kenny is passionate and committed to using his experience to coach your child in reaching his/her full potential.
Mr. Kenny and Mrs. Carmen, a husband-and-wife team, have three beautiful children.

My kids has been going to this PEL learning center for few years. It helps them excel in school. The program is tailor made for each student and go at their own pace. Small drills and exercises everyday, help build up their foundation in Math and English over time. They also learned self discipline and responsibility.
